I've just put a order in for some new books, and I think the bookstore is worried about the postage. They charge less than $10 for the postage, but it's going to cost them a packet to get the books to me. I was asked when I'd like to pick them up, even after I asked for them to be sent out. (Most of the books are coming from interstate stores).

you read more than a few books a day
you read more than one at a time... depending on where you are. (like if you have different books stashed in different places around the house)
when the librarian gives you a weird look when you request books because you do it more than once a week
when a teacher gets upset with you because you're too busy reading and not paying attention to what is going on in class,
-then confiscates it because you can't stop reading.

My parents got notes by the dozens from my teachers about me doing that.

when people don't give you regular presents but give you gift cards to bookstores (or money to buy books)
- because they've lost track of what you have and haven't read
when you do sleep you dream about books... or being in them
|

When you can stand in one place in your bedroom and count over five hundred books that you can see.
I did that once about 1985.

When you go to clean up the soon to be bedroom of your first child and realize that 3/4s (maybe more) of the boxes in the room are full of books. And the room was nearly full!

I'm going to have to buy a new bookshelf as the other 2 that I have are totally packed, and I don't have anywhere else to put the books that I have, and the ones that I've ordered.
